Creating a Walking Stick

This is an adorable walking stick that Hannah and I made last week.
Materials
Long Stick
Paint (Favorite Colors)
Glue Gun or other Strong Glue
Yarn for hair
Googly Eyes
Marker for the mouth
Huge Puff Ball
"Things" to glue onto the stick
(I used colored glass thingies that you put in a vase, Flat Rhinestones and other flat things like butterflies and flowers)

First we painted it, then glued eyes, nose and hair. And then glued the other pieces throughout. I also added a Yellow Puff Ball at the bottom because we have wood floors and it scraped the floor without it.

This craft was a lot of fun for both of us!

  1. What a GREAT idea! One of my goals this fall is to get outside a LOT. This would be a fun project before hiking!

(By the way, your daughter is breathtakingly pretty... every once and awhile, you take a picture that hints at how she'll look all grown up... pretty girl :)

  2. I thought the same thing when I saw this picture. The way she is standing and looking at the camera and the way her clothes fit. I see it...and it frightens me a little that she won't be this adorable forever. Wahhhh!
